Walk With Ease

Walk with Ease is a multi-component program that includes walking, health education, stretching and strengthening exercises, and motivational strategies. Participants meet three times a week for six-weeks; group is led by a trained leader. Walk with Ease is an evidence-based program for people with chronic conditions, resulting in benefits such as increased physical activity, increased walking distance and speed, decreased pain, and decreased depression. It is a program of the Arthritis Foundation designed for people with or without arthritis that would like to begin a regular walking program. Fee: $15 and includes free incentive gifts

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking this summer! One of the most effective activities for burning calories and building cardio-vascular fitness is cross-country skiing because both large upper and lower body muscles are fully engaged. All fitness levels can achieve similar benefits year round, without snow, and without increased exertion! Give this great from of exercise a try this summer.
