TopBasic Water Rescue

Basic Water Rescue is designed to provide individuals such as public safety personnel, aquatic fitness instructors and aquatic therapists, with information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course will also prepare individuals for aquatic emergencies by teaching them how to protect themselves while assisting others.

TopLifeguard Management

The Lifeguard Management course provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards and the aquatic facility safe. The Lifeguard Management course covers the responsibilities of a lifeguard supervisor, the selection and training of lifeguards and team building principles of injury prevention, risk management and emergency response planning.

TopShallow Water Attendant

To teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in shallow water up to 4 feet deep. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries in shallow water. This course is not intended for the shallow part of an area or attraction that also has deeper water.

Prerequisites: Minimum age of 15; swim 50 yards continuously; starting in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, submerge to a depth of 4 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, walk 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within 50 seconds.
